What is an east-west setting? An east-west setting refers to a diamond placed horizontally — with its longer axis running across the finger rather than along it. Most often used with elongated cuts like ovals, pears, marquises and emeralds, the east-west orientation gives a more contemporary, less expected silhouette than the traditional vertical setting.

What is a split band wedding ring? A split band wedding ring is a single ring with the band parted into two parallel sections, joined at the diamonds (or at the back of the ring). The split design creates a distinctive contemporary look and conveniently leaves space for an engagement ring to sit between the two bands when stacked.

What are pear-cut diamonds? Pear-cut diamonds are teardrop-shaped — a hybrid of the round brilliant and marquise cuts — with a rounded end and a pointed tip. They offer the brilliance of a round with a more elongated, distinctive silhouette, and read particularly contemporary in an east-west orientation.

Is this a unisex wedding ring? The east-west split band is a contemporary, genderless design. The proportions read most often on women's hands but the silhouette is gender-neutral and is occasionally chosen by partners selecting matching pairs.
